Your May Half Term Starts Here: The Spark Festival 2026
The Spark Festival 2026 is back from 16th–24th May. Starting in schools across Leicester before bursting into public spaces for a weekend of family fun, this year’s programme is packed with affordable events, from magical baby shows like Take Flight and In The Deep to free creative play at The Spark Takeover.
Children can make mini‑movies at Phoenix’s Paper Movies workshop or try graffiti and DJing with Pedestrian at pocket‑money prices.
Shaped with help from The Mega Bosses of Spark (local children aged 8–13) who decided on the festival themes of Peace, Equity and Play.
