Little Miracles Charity – A Lifeline for Families this Christmas
There are over one million disabled children in the UK under the age of 16 — roughly one in every twenty. Yet many families feel isolated, judged and excluded. For parents of children with additional needs, disabilities or life-limiting conditions, the world often isn’t set up to help their children live life to the fullest. Little Miracles Charity exists to change that.
We help families feel connected, understood and supported. Little Miracles is a place of friendship and safety, where happy memories are made and no one is judged. We support families from pre-birth to age 25, whether or not a diagnosis has been made, giving every child the chance to play, laugh and form friendships while providing families with advice and care. Cost is never a barrier — all families can enjoy our activities regardless of their financial situation.
Many parents describe Little Miracles as a lifeline — a place where support is available when it’s needed most. Our childcare teams deliver inclusive activities that the whole family can enjoy in welcoming, accessible spaces. Beyond play, our Family Support Workers and Counsellors provide practical guidance, emotional support and safe spaces for parents, carers and siblings.
Over the winter, families across our 22 branches can take part in a wide range of fun activities designed for children and parents to enjoy together. Membership is required, but it’s free and easy to join. Details of activities are available on our website, and families of children with additional needs can also find support and information through our Facebook groups.
