Take One Giant Leap into space - themed fun in Leicester this half term!
From 11 – 20 October there will be a selection of intergalactic activities for all the family to enjoy.
The BRICKLIVE OUTER SPACE Trail will bring 15 amazing models made entirely of bricks to venues around the city centre. See reconstructions of the rockets that took us to the moon and stand side-by-side with famous astronauts! Simply download the free LoyalFree smartphone app to follow the trail – scan the QR code at each location for a chance to win prizes!
Get a close-up view of the moon at Luke Jerram’s stunning Museum of the Moon exhibit at Leicester Cathedral. Measuring seven metres wide, the internally lit sculpture features detailed NASA imagery of the lunar surface for a truly awe-inspiring experience.
Join in with retro-style computer games inspired by the Moon landing on large-scale screens across the city – simply come along and connect with your smartphone to play! And look out for Overview Effect, an out-of-this-world digital show for all.
