Kids go free as the Shackerstone Family Festival celebrates its 25th year this September. It brings together a large number of attractions that are centred around the village.
This year’s top acts include an American Civil War re-enactment, Jurassic dinosaurs, gorilla experience and motorcycle stunt shows. In the air there is a display from a RAF Spitfire. One of the largest gatherings of vintage narrowboats in the Midlands can be found on the canal, with classic vintage vehicles on the event fields, steam at the station and not forgetting the Shackie Childrens Club.
