Fairfield’s talented trio triumph by bringing home historical trophy

Fairfield High School students made history by bringing home the WorldWise Quiz trophy by smashing previous scores and astounding professors, in an accolade traditionally won by private schools.

The quiz at the University of Bristol, organised by Bristol Geographical Association, saw students compete in GCSE topics such as OS mapping skills, aerial photos, sustainability, coasts, field course and cities.

Amy Hornsby, Geography Teacher, commented: “I was thrilled and proud in equal measure at the achievement of our talented trio. This spectacular trophy is now safely in Fairfield hands until next year when we will defend our title. Congratulations from the Fairfield family for this fantastic and richly deserved victory.”
