Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games

The countdown to the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games is officially on and excitement is building across Scotland. With 3,000 of the world's best athletes coming from 74 nations and territories, Glasgow 2026 will be one of the biggest sporting events in the UK this year!

Glasgow 2026 is inviting families to discover their new sporting obsession through a packed 11-day programme of 10 sports and six Para sports, in four iconic Glasgow venues. From the fast footwork in Netball and 3x3 Basketball through to their biggest ever programmes in the velodrome and swimming pool, the atmosphere is going to be incredible and you don't want to miss out!

Leading the hype is Finnie, the Games’ official mascot. She is a bright, spirited unicorn imagined by the children and young people of Glasgow, and with her traffic‑cone‑inspired horn, Finnie has already become a favourite among Scotland's young people. She's been popping up in assemblies, community clubs and at sporting events. She even climbed a mountain! Finnie is on a mission to celebrate sport, make sure everyone is having fun and enjoying the magic of the Commonwealth Games.

One of her important jobs is helping with the Glasgow 2026 Schools Programme. With Finnie's help, the team at Glasgow 2026 has created a range of brilliant - and free - resources for schools to help celebrate this altogether brilliant Games coming to Scotland. From teaching resources to challenges, assemblies and athlete visits, there's something for everyone.

There will be so much going on in Glasgow this summer and everyone is invited. Tickets are on sale from as little as £12 for kids, with non-medal sessions for adults starting from £17 or £26 for medal sessions. So, why not find out more via www.glasgow2026.com and start your new sport obsession.
