Want to make your Christmas tree stand out this year? Try creating your own Mini Snow Globe Ornaments – a fun, imaginative craft that kids will love. They’re easy to make using recycled jars and a few festive bits, and look magical when they catch the light.
YOU’LL NEED:
• Small clear jars (like baby food or spice jars)
• A few drops of glycerin or baby oil (for slow snow movement)
• Water
• Glitter or fake snow
• Small plastic figures (snowmen, reindeer, or mini trees) or even use plasticine
• Ribbon or twine for hanging
HOW TO MAKE THEM:
1. Glue a small figure to the inside of each jar lid and let it dry.
2. Fill the jar almost to the top with water, add a pinch of glitter, and a few drops of glycerin.
3. Screw the lid on tightly (a bit of glue helps seal it).
4. Tie a ribbon around the lid and attach string to hang it from the tree or place it on a windowsill.
TIPS
Use food colouring for tinted “snow water” or tiny LED fairy lights around the lid for an extra sparkle!
