Bring money to life this half term with Money Heroes

Learning about money is an important part of growing up. Research suggests that children develop their mindset around money by the age of seven, so it’s important to start talking to children about money from a young age.

Money Heroes is an award-winning free programme from Young Enterprise, supported by HSBC, which seeks to transform teaching children about money so that it’s interesting, interactive and enjoyable. It’s aimed at those with a learning age between 3-11.

Children sometimes learn best when faced with real and relatable situations – that’s why activities are based on practical, everyday scenarios such as going shopping or how to earn money.

Parents or carers can sign up for a free Money Heroes parent account and get access to fun and engaging downloadable activities, eBooks and digital games. There’s even a podcast to give you advice and guidance on talking to children about money.

Thanks to a recent partnership with Children in Need, Money Heroes also offers a range of resources in accessible formats for children with special educational needs and disabilities.

Get started this half term by downloading the easy-to-follow ‘To Buy or Not to Buy’ activity. Sign up for a free Money Heroes parent account and enter the free Prize Draw for a chance to win one of five bundles of their five books and their Orchard Toys board game!
