Are We Alone? Online FREE LIVE Space Q&A

Are we alone in the Universe? How do we discover life on other planets and can science here on our own planet help us understand what life out there may look like?

The National Space Centre is hosting a week of free online workshops, talks and craft ideas, culminating in an online LIVE Q&A with the country’s leading expert on Astrobiology on their main Facebook page.

Professor Charles Cockell studies life in extreme environments, the habitability of extra-terrestrial environments, and space biology. Effectively he is a professional alien hunter.

He currently sits on the science advisory committee of NASA’s Center for the Utilization of Biological Engineering in Space (CUBES). He was Principal Investigator of BioRock, an ESA experiment that flew to the International Space Station in 2019 and demonstrated for the first time mining of elements in space using microbes. He is also the Chair of the Earth and Space Foundation, a small foundation he founded in 1994 that gives out grants to field research that links environmentalism and space exploration and has funded over 60 projects since it was established.

What would you like to know about the possibility of life elsewhere in the Universe?
