Dinosaurs in the Wild lands at London's Greenwich Pavilion
Dinosaurs in the Wild enables teachers to takeschool groups of 7-11 year olds 67 million years back in time to the late Cretaceous Period. Using cutting-edge special effects and the latest discoveries in palaeontology, the show is specially designed to ignite pupils’ imaginations and love for scientific discovery.
The 70-minute brings science to life by putting school groupsface-to-face with living dinosaurs, as they explore the extraordinary surroundings of Timebase 67. Pupils will get a chance to:
Observe scientists as they conduct a live autopsy of a five-metre long crested Pachycephalosaurus
Discover the Hatchery, where dinosaur eggs squirm, communicate with each other, and slowly come to life
Get their hands into piles of dinosaur poo, to discover the difference between carnivore and herbivore droppings
See through a dinosaur’s eyes with the help of virtual reality technology
Meet the Purgatorius, a haunting specimen of the very first human ancestor – a tiny squirrel-like creature that lived in trees in the late Cretaceous Period
Over 4,500 pupils have attended Dinosaurs in the Wild over the past year in Manchester and Birmingham.
Dinosaurs in the Wild tours to the deep past are scheduled to depart from London’s Greenwich Peninsula from 10 February.
