Child Safety Week (6-12 June) Poster Competition for Children
Keep your child busy with our poster competition and your child could win a £25 voucher
Childhood accidents often happen when we are taken by surprise or distracted. Serious accidents can happen alarmingly quickly. The Child Accident Prevention Trust (CAPT) runs Child Safety Week (6-12 June 2016) to remind busy families and communities to make time for child safety.
This year we are challenging you to pledge to ‘Turn off technology for safety.’ By turning off technology especially mobiles at crucial times in the day we are more able to give children our focus and so keep them safer.
The poster competition aims to get children involved in the week. Simply download the Turn off technology for safety competition and send in your completed poster. Your child can be in with the chance of winning one of four prizes of £25 high street vouchers. But that’s not all:
It’ll start children thinking about when technology can be a dangerous distraction and times when it’s good to turn off technology for safety – the theme for Child Safety Week 6-12 June 2016.
Download the competition now and make as many copies as you need (we’ve included a black and white for those who have restrictions on colour printing).
Use the questions on the illustrations page to start your child thinking and talking about the issue.
Sendyour entries in by 19 May and wait to see if you win!
