KIDZANIA LONDON GIVES AWAY ONE FREE CLASS VISIT TO EVERY UK SCHOOL IN EXCLUSIVE OFFER FOR 2016
The UK’s first educational entertainment centre, KidZania London has announced plans to offer every primary and secondary school across the UK a complimentary class* visit in the first term of this academic school term in 2016.
This move is the latest in KidZania London fulfilling its mission to empower children and young people and inspire them to explore the world of opportunities open to them.
KidZania London provides an authentic and powerful ‘careers awareness’ introduction to the world of work for students aged 4 – 14 years old, so that they begin to understand the nature of work, the diversity and function of business, and its contribution to the national prosperity.
Dr Ger Graus, Director of Education at KidZania London comments, “Learning is truly at the heart of everything we do and we are so convinced of the educational value that KidZania offers, that we want every UK school to have the opportunity to experience it. In recent weeks, Sam Gyimah, Education and Childcare Minister, announced plans for a new government initiative introducing younger children to the world of work, providing ‘the information, exposure and support to make the right choices and to fulfil their potential’ and that’s exactly what KidZania London aims to do. Children can only aspire to what they know exists and we look to offer experiential learning opportunities at their very best through curiosity, role-play and fun.”
With over 60 different role-play activities to choose from - all developed with teachers and other professionals - which can be cross-referenced to the national curriculum, parents and teachers alike can be assured that whether it’s enrolling at pilot school, making chocolate, styling their very own fashion show or firefighting, there’s something for every child to enjoy and learn from. Children can further develop a wide range of essential life skills including team work, communication, entrepreneurship and emotional intelligence.
