Tewkesbury Medieval Festival has long been regarded as Europe's biggest and best, now, in its 32nd year it will be bigger and better than ever.
At the heart of the event is a re-enactment of the Battle of Teweksbury, on part of the site of the original battle of 1471 - the last and bloodiest in the Wars of the Roses.
The several thousand re-enactors who take part in the event will be living, many with their families, in the style of a medieval army on the march, and vistors are welcome to visit them in camps. You can also see the Yorkist King Edward and the Lancastrian Queen Margaret of Anjou living in sumptuous comfort in their royal encampments.
As well as the battle will be a bustling market, with armourers, potters, tailors and dress makers, trinket sellers and much more, plying their trade.
Minstrels, stilt walkers, a bear and even the odd dragon or two could be wandering around the site.
There will be plenty for younger visitors to do with circus workshops, puppet shows, and magical story tellers garden and much more.
New for this year will be a display of mounted medieval hunting skills, (Saturday only) and a huge and colourful carnival parade through the historical heart of the town on Sunday (11am in the High Street).
The festival open at 11am on both days, with the battle at 4pm on Saturday and 3pm on Sunday.
Gates open at 11am both days.
