Time: 09:00
Address: Cheltenham

How long is a piece of string? What makes the world turn? And why does chocolate taste so good? Nothing is off limits at this annual festival which promises a line-up of the world’s greatest scientists, futurologists and thought-leaders to help make sense of the world around us. Among the speakers this year are Maddie Moate, who shows you how to be a spy with GCHQ, 'Bake Off' finalist Andrew Smyth and the very first family version of 'Infinite Monkey Cage' with comedian Robin Ince and physicist Brian Cox. See the website for details of the Science for Schools programme running alongside the main festival as well as for the full programme when it becomes available. Tickets on sale from 24 April.
