As you are no doubt aware, various events will be taking place across the region to celebrate 70 years of service by Her Majesty The Queen. As well as activities during the extended bank holiday from 2nd to 5th June, there will also be themed things-to-do across communities and in other venues. We have pulled together a selection of events below and will add more as they become available.

The Queen’s Green Canopy – individuals, community groups, villages, cities, schools and businesses are invited to plant trees to mark the Jubilee year:
The Big Jubilee Lunch – this year’s annual celebration for neighbours and community takes place during the Jubilee celebration and many events will be Jubilee themed.
Free augmented reality story trail in and around town centres. Use your smartphone to discover characters along the route and take selfies and videos with them.
Gillingham Library are calling for local children to submit artwork depicting events during the Queen’s reign for display in the library. Prize available.
28th May to 5th June - Window Display Competition - explore the shop, restaurant and business windows with their regal displays to celebrate the Queen's Jubilee
2nd to 5th June - enjoy the BIG screen in Falkland Square showing Jubilee events (brings a chair and enjoy the television coverage)
4th June - Live music stage in Falkland Square from 11am til 6pm
5th June - Free face painting for U12s plus street entertainment with stilt walkers and a circus workshop located outside Bonmarche and a Jubilee Street Sinaglong along the High Street
Poole BID invites children to send their letters to Her Majesty The Queen at The Dolphin Shopping Centre with one picked at random to win a £30 gift voucher to spend at The Entertainer
2nd June – Jubilee Beacon Lighting Ceremony and Jubilee Family Fun Day. 4th June – Jubilee Party at the Palace Concert. 5th June – Queen’s Jubilee Celebration Picnic.
Celebrations include a Jubilee special ‘Dance with the Stars’ show plus games and competitions with Adventure Wonderland’s resident superstars. Alice, the Mad Hatter, the Queen of Hearts and Mr Rabbit will be hosting a very special Jubilee Tea Party in the Theme Park where you can bring your own picnic or pick up treats from the café. There will also be a Jubilee Treasure Hunt for a chance to WIN a return visit for all the family.
