The National Trust's Summer of Play returns to Devon
Across Devon, National Trust places are bursting with family fun as Summer of Play returns for the school holidays - and this year it’s supported by Pokémon.
Visit Killerton near Exeter for a summer fête with seven play zones, a peaceful nature area, daily pop-up activities and the all-new Pokémon zone where you can flex your skills and collect stickers.
At Saltram in Plymouth, follow the Pokémon TCG Mega Evolution Trail to search for Pokémon, discover their powers and complete challenges. Alongside the trail, you can navigate imaginary seas and design your own flag at Saltram’s maritime-themed Summer of Play.
Visit Arlington Court near Barnstaple for a lively play field and peaceful picnic spots. The play hub at Knightshayes near Tiverton is ready for big imaginations and energetic explorers, and Buckland Abbey near Yelverton has a swashbuckling pirate theme with ship‑building, archery and pirate trivia.
Summer of Play is also on at A la Ronde near Exmouth, Castle Drogo near Okehampton and Coleton Fishacre and Greenway near Brixham, so there are plenty of places to play across Devon.
Summer of Play runs throughout the summer holidays and is included with normal admission (free entry for National Trust members and under 5s). No need to book. See website for more information.
