We are exciting to share with you a cracking line-up of films scheduled for kids and families this year. There’s a fantastic mix of live-action, animation, book adaptations and sequels to look forward so there should be something to keep all of the family happy.

Sonic The Hedgehog
The world’s most famous hedgehog arrives on the big screen at last! This movie sees our hero teaming up with a local sheriff to stop villainous genius Dr Robotnik (played by Jim Carrey) taking over the world.
The Call of The Wild
Probably best suited to older primary aged children, this adventure film is based on the classic Jack London novel of the same name and follows Bucky, a stolen dog as he befriends an old man and begins a life changing adventure.

Onward – 6 March
The first Pixar/Disney animation of 2020 is a fantasy film following two elf brothers as they make a discovery that may bring their father back to life encountering centaurs, pet dragons and unicorns as along the way
My Spy – 13 March
This action comedy starring Dave Bautista tells the story of a hardened CIA operative who finds himself at the mercy of a precocious 9 year old girl, having been sent undercover to surveil her family.
April
Trolls World Tour – 13 April
Unsurprisingly a sequel to the smash hit ‘Trolls’ from 2016. This time, our brightly haired heroes discover that there are other Troll tribes scattered over six different lands and it is a race against time to unify them as one tribe tries to destroy all other types of music
The Secret Garden – 17 April
A new version of the classic Frances Hodgson Burnett novel starring Colin Firth and Julie Walters. An orphaned, neglected 10 year old is brought to a large manor house in England where she uncovers the mysteries it holds within.

Scoob! – 15 May
This animated reboot of the Scooby-Doo franchise will feature all our favourite characters and reveal how Mystery Inc was formed as they face their biggest challenge yet: a plot to summon the ghost dog Ceberus.
The Spongebob Movie:Sponge on the Run – 22 May
The energetic and optimistic sea sponge is back for another film adventure. This installment will depict how SpongeBob met his friends for the first time at holiday camp.
Artemis Fowl – 29 May
Based on the first novel in the series of the same name by Eoin Colfer, we follow the journey of 12 year old genius Artemis Fowl, descendant of criminal masterminds as he tries to find his father who has mysteriously disappeared.
June
Soul – 19 June
This Disney/Pixar fantasy comedy animation takes inspiration from music with a teacher chasing his dreams of becoming a jazz musicians finding his soul separated from his body after an accident requiring him to confront his ambitions.
July
Minions: The Rise of Gru – 10 July
Continuing the 2015 Minions film and a prequel to the Despicable Me movies, we go back in time to the 1970s and meet a twelve year old Felonious Gru as he hatches a plan to become the adult supervillain we all know.
Jungle Cruise – 24 July
Inspired by the famous Disneyland ride and starring Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt, we join a group of intrepid travellers through a dangerous jungle journey and supernatural mysteries.
August
The One and Only Ivan – 14 August
Based on the children’s novel on the same name – this fantasy drama tells the story of a gorilla, elephant and dog living in captivity in a shopping mall. When a baby elephant arrives, things begin to change and the animals look to a brighter future.
Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway – August TBC
Postponed from the spring, Beatrix Potter’s pesky but much loved bunny is back for another live action/computer animated adventure film. This sequel sees Peter run away from home where he befriends an acquaintance of his father and finds himself drawn into a life that he never knew about.
October
Connected – 9 October
This original animation features The Mitchells , a dysfunctional but loving family whose road trip is interrupted by a tech uprising that threatens mankind.
The Witches – 16 October
A brand new adaptation of Roald Dahl’s creepy classic book ready for Halloween. As before, a little boy stumbles across a conference of witches while staying with his grandmother at a hotel and gets transformed into a mouse by the Grand High With, played this time by Anne Hathaway
November
Raya and the Last Dragon – 27 November
The last Disney production of the year, this movie will take you to the mysterious realm of Kumandra where a warrior named Raya is searching for the last dragon in the world.
December
A Boy Called Christmas – 9 December
Based on the hugely popular Matt Haig book, follow the story of 11 year old Nikolas searching for his father who has gone missing on an expedition to prove the existence of elves.
Clifford the Big Red Dog – 11 December
Based on the American children’s book series, join Clifford as he embarks on a whole new adventure with his dog family and his owner Emily Elizabeth
Tom and Jerry – 26 December
The world’s most famous cat and mouse duo are back for a whole new generation. Plot details are scarce at the moment, however it is believed that this will be a live-action/animation feature.
