Your local Kumon Study Centre aims to help children of any age and any ability to achieve beyond expectations. Established for over 60 years, the Kumon Method of Learning helps students maximise their ability and realise their potential. Our students develop lifelong study skills and a passion for learning, as well as the confidence to tackle new challenges.
Our programmes place great importance on self-learning, encouraging students to discover how to solve problems for themselves. As our students begin to take ownership of their learning, they develop invaluable confidence and self-motivation which transfers across all school subjects, and beyond into their experiences in the wider world.
To enable you to experience the benefits of Kumon, many local Kumon centres are offering a one-weekFree Trial of the Kumon study programmes to all new students, available from 1 May – 31 May 2022.
Kumon students progress based on their ability and not their age, meaning that many students are able to tackle work that’s more advanced than their school year level. An independent research study revealed that Kumon students are over a year aheadof the national average and over six months ahead of their peers in maths at the end of primary school*. By reaching an advanced level of study, students become well-equipped with the skills they need to excel.
With guidance and support from their Instructor, Kumon students establish strong foundations in maths and English, as well as important study skills including speed, accuracy, time management, concentration and problem-solving. Kumon Instructors continuously monitor, guide and challenge students to grow by gradually increasing the level of difficulty of the worksheets they assign.
Kumon students attend classes in the study centre or online, once a week, and complete a small amount of daily work outside of class to instil core study skills through their frequent practice.
As part of the Free Trial, your child will complete a free maths and English assessment so that their level of study can be precisely tailored to their ability. Our individualised maths and English programmes allow students to begin at their own, individually set starting point and to progress to an advanced level at their own pace. This creates a positive learning experience, with work always set at just the right level.
After the consultation, if you feel that Kumon is the right programme for your child, you can then register and experience all the benefits of ongoing Kumon study. Your child will join the other 3.4 million students across the world currently developing to their full potential with Kumon.
