Eden Shopping Centre’s ‘Quids for Kids’ Returns due to Popular Demand

Buckinghamshire schools could win up to £1,000 in Eden Shopping Centre’s education initiative.

Shoppers at High Wycombe’s Eden Shopping Centre will have the chance to convert their pounds to points for their nominated school. The three schools with the highest number of registered points at the end of the campaign will win a share of £1,500.

First prize: £1000

Second prize: £350

Third prize: £150

Eden’s shoppers simply need to register their till receipts at the customer service desk and nominate the school they would like to donate the points to before Tuesday 23rd April. Every £5 spent in any of Eden’s retailers will be converted to 1 point. And as it’s a competition, shoppers will be able to keep an eye on each school’s points tally on Eden’s website.

Eden’s Marketing Manager, Niamh Crowley, said, “We have an excellent relationship with many of the schools in and around High Wycombe, and so helping to support the local community comes naturally to us. Last year’s ‘Quids for Kids’ proved hugely popular with local schools and shoppers alike, and due to the high demand, we have chosen to run it again, but bigger and better than ever before! ‘Quids for Kids’ captures the imagination of parents and families so they can help their chosen school win a share of the prize money. We can’t wait to see who will be crowned victorious this time around!”

Last year, Hazlemere Church of England school won first prize and Head Teacher Baljit Bhabra commented “We are extremely grateful to all our families for supporting the school throughout this competition.

“The winning amount will be spent based on staff recommendations, on how best to improve the provision and facilities for all our pupils.”

Head Teacher of second place Highworth Combined School, Clare Pankhania, said, “We are thrilled to be receiving this prize. We were entered into the competition by one of the members of our PTA and we’d like to thank her and all the other wonderful parents who give so much of their time to support our school.

“Current funding challenges make this prize even more important to us and we will be sure to spend it wisely to benefit as many of our pupils as possible.”
