Stagecoach Performing Arts Celebrates 20 Years in Milton Keynes
Stagecoach Milton Keynes opened its doors for the first time in the summer of 1997. Twenty years on, it is still inspiring and enriching young people through classes in the performing arts. Stagecoach enables a happy, safe and secure environment for every child and young person to grow and develop creative courage for life.
Stagecoach MK prides itself in offering students fantastic performing opportunities as well as expert tuition. Over the last year alone, students have won roles in ‘Shrek The Musical’, ‘Chitty Chitty Bang Bang’, ‘Joseph’, ‘The Sound of Music’ and Stagecoach Showcases at Milton Keynes Theatre, Aylesbury and High Wycombe.
Principal, Bob Dillinger says, “I believe the driving force behind any successful school is the quality of teaching and I’m very lucky to be surrounded by a dedicated team of gifted professionals with the skill and expertise to bring out the best in children of all abilities.”
Bob’s wife, and Co-Principal, Sue, adds, “Of course, as well as building confidence, students can still find their way into the profession; what we give is the chance for our students to perform to the best of their abilities, and go on to fulfil their potential in all walks of life, not just on the stage.”
“Stagecoach MK is like family and has been life changing; I wouldn’t be who I am today without it.” Georgina, aged 14, current student.
