Fulham Palace invites visitors to ‘go green fest’: a sustainability and gardening festival for all ages
Fulham Palace is delighted to announce ‘go green fest’, a relaunched, family-focused version of our annual green meet event. This one-day community festival invites visitors to celebrate sustainability, gardening and biodiversity. It will include a range of activities for all ages, alongside exciting entertainment and delicious food and drink.
With the entire programme included in the ticket price, ‘go green fest’ brings together the local community to offer a plethora of workshops and activities reflecting the festival’s theme of ‘do it yourself’. From seed planting sessions and practical repair workshops to tours with the Palace’s garden team, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Visitors can take part in garden games including archery tag and zorbing, meet the friendly Palace chickens and join in with eco-friendly arts and crafts projects. From birdwatching to beekeeping and gardening taster talks there are plenty of opportunities to learn and have fun for adults and kids alike.
The drawing room café and festival vendors will be serving up a wide variety of food and beverages on the day. Attendees will also be able to browse a range of eco-friendly products, while the Palace garden barrow will be offering a selection of organic produce, homemade preserves and hand-picked flowers, all cultivated within the historic walled garden.
With sustainability, gardening and community at its heart, ‘go green fest’ offers a day of inspiration, discovery and connection for visitors of all ages. This event is part of Fulham Palace’s biodiversity and climate change resilience work, reinforcing the commitment to preserving green spaces and promoting environmentally friendly practices.
Ana Coltatu, event organiser: ‘We can’t wait to welcome visitors back to one of our favourite annual events! Go green fest is our newly refreshed family festival at Fulham Palace and has been reimagined as a hands-on day of discovery, play and inspiration for all ages. It’s all about bringing people together to enjoy nature, gardening and sustainable living. Go green fest is a great way to explore the garden, enjoy activities and connect with the community.
