The tabla is a pair of drums played by hand; lightly tapping fingertips across the surface produces a vast range of sounds. Learning the techniques requires practice and patience; students pick up these life lessons whilst being immersed in rhythm cycles, music and performing arts. Having grown up in North London, graduated from King’s College London and travelled the world performing music, Dips communicates traditional lessons in a welcoming, fun and educational environment.
The tabla is taught in its own language and requires little physical strength, making it accessible for younger age groups.
