Perform drama school announces first West End show
Perform drama school has announced its first venture into West End theatre shows.
Jungle Rumble, an original family musical, will run during the February half term from 14th to 20th February at The Fortune Theatre in Covent Garden, marking a natural progression for the established and highly regarded drama school taking its acting expertise onto the stage.
Perform runs children’s drama classes for ages 4-12 at venues across the UK. This January term the children will be enjoying a new jungle theme and Perform has put together a sensational West End adult cast to bring the Jungle songs and dances to life on the stage in Jungle Rumble.
Lucy Quick, Founder of Perform and Jungle Rumble’s creator, said: “It’s a proud and exciting moment for us to take our work to the West End, and a fitting platform to showcase what Perform is capable of after 20 years of inspiring children.”
“The show is an ideal way to introduce children to the magic of live theatre, and that’s obviously something we’re really passionate about. This is something we’ve been working towards for a few years and I have no doubt Jungle Rumble will capture the imaginations of children in half term.”
Featuring thrilling choreography, uplifting songs and an inspirational message about working together to protect the Earth, Jungle Rumble tells the story of ancient elephant Eeli, shy zebra Zella and cheeky monkey Boo. They journey deep into the heart of the jungle on a fearless expedition to rescue Snow, the last white lion, from the evil Lord Braggard.
Jungle Rumble offers a perfect half-term day out for the whole family, running from 14th to 20th February at The Fortune Theatre, Russell St, London.
