New School Year, New Head

Derby Grammar School is looking forward to the new academic year with its new Head, Dr Ruth Norris, in post.

Based in Littleover, Derby Grammar School is an independent day school for boys aged 7 to 18 and girls aged 16 to 18.

Dr Norris says: “I am delighted and honoured to be taking up the post of Head at Derby Grammar School. It was obvious from my first visit to the School that this is a special place. I very much look forward to working with the outstanding team and to serving the School community.”

Dr Norris read History at Robinson College, Cambridge and completed her Doctorate at University College, Oxford. She represented both Oxford and Cambridge universities in the sport of fencing, and competed at British National level.
