IT’S THREE AND EASY FOR SOLIHULL PRIMARY SCHOOL AS THEY

SIGN UP FOR THIRD CONSECUTIVE YEARBOOK WITH FIZZ GROUP

A Solihull Primary School is to add a third chapter to its yearbook story after signing up to produce its latest commemorative book with West Midlands based school services supplier Fizz Group.

Solihull based Monkspath Junior and Infant School has commissioned a yearbook for the third consecutive year, following the popular success among pupils of the previous commemorative publications.

As for the last two years Redditch-based Fizz Group, a school services supplier providing a range of services to UK schools including Yearbooks and school photography, will produce the yearbook along with plenty of creative input from the teachers and pupils at the school.

Fizz Group’s production of the Monkspath school yearbook is one of 250 primary schools the Redditch company is set to work within the next 12 months, as the US phenomenon of school yearbooks takes off across the UK.

Naomi Perryman, Chair of Monkspath Parent Teacher Association, said: “We are delighted to be working with Fizz Group on a third yearbook for the school.

“In just three years the books have become an institution and the consensus is they would definitely miss it if they didn’t have one. The children love the fact that they have a Yearbook to take away.

“The ‘Notes’ page has proved a big hit as everyone signs it and adds their own comments. Also now the older brothers and sisters have one there is an expectation that the younger siblings have one as well.

“With our last yearbook the Assistant Head gave them out during the last week of school. It was a very emotional occasion for everyone as teachers and pupils alike read the comments and statements that marked out their journey through the school.”

The pupils at Monkspath School are becoming more engaged each year in shaping the Yearbook, with the most recent initiative seeing the school run a competition among pupils to design the front cover, with the winner receiving a prize for their efforts.

Adam McGill, 24, Fizz Group’s Managing Director, said: “It’s quite incredible how quickly the primary school demand for Yearbooks has increased in the past five years.

“A few years ago, there was little or no demand, but now primary schools like Monkspath are really getting on board with how much fun and enjoyment they can be and how much the pupils cherish them.

“It’s fantastic to work on a third yearbook for Monkspath School and have the opportunity to engage with the teachers and the pupils in producing a wonderful long lasting book of memories dedicated to their time at the school.”

Fizz Group is a Redditch based company responsible for supplying school memorabilia items including Yearbooks, Leavers’ Hoodies and School Photography.

Starting in 2007 as a single company, Fizz Yearbooks has quickly evolved into the Fizz Group, a £2m turnover company providing products to schools across the UK and international education sector.
