Battersea Park Children’s Zoo celebrates 20th anniversary!

In 2005, the Heap family rescued Battersea Park Children's Zoo from closure, transforming it with a vital conservation mission that thrives today. Their vision preserved a beloved London landmark while creating a sanctuary for endangered species.

Now home to over 100 animals across 44 diverse species from farm favourites to the exotic, furry, scaled and feathered!

Battersea Park Children’s Zoo invites you to join the celebration, with a fun May half term festival, marking the 20th anniversary and 73-year heritage.

Experience exclusive animal encounters, expert keeper talks, explore a commemorative photo exhibition, watch the anniversary film, and take home the first-ever souvenir guidebook.

Bring your family this May half term to discover its past and be part of its future.
