Celebrate Diwali at Bateman’s

This October half term, visit Bateman’s, the family home of The Jungle Book author Rudyard Kipling, and enjoy a colourful Diwali celebration.

Explore rooms filled with beautiful Indian objects, glowing lights and handmade decorations. Take part in family-friendly crafts and browse Indian-inspired gifts and Kipling’s books in the shop.

Kipling was born in India, and many of his stories were inspired by his experiences there. Discover more about his connection to India while celebrating the Festival of Lights in the peaceful Sussex countryside.
