East Sussex County Council has been celebrating #FosterCareFortnight – a national campaign recognising the amazing role of foster carers who open their hearts and homes to support local young people.
If you are aged over 21, with a spare bedroom a child or young person could call their own, you could foster. East Sussex County Council provide full, ongoing training; you don’t need specific qualifications to apply.
Yes, you can foster if you are…

• Unemployed or work and want to continue your career alongside fostering

• Specific about an age range that would fit in with your family
• Considering fostering part-time
'To know that you’ve made them feel happy and safe at a difficult time in their life, really is the best feeling' (Current ESCC Foster Carer).
