Big Fish Little Fish Family Rave Comes To Dorking Halls This September
Award-winning family rave Big Fish Little Fish - the original family rave - is coming to Dorking Halls on Saturday 16 September with DJs Baker & Beale.
Drawing on their own experience as seasoned clubbers and parents fun-filled parties for all ages, Big Fish Little Fish has exploded from a monthly party in a pub in Brixton 10 years ago to become a major player on the family arts scene across the country.
Bringing raving joy to hundreds of thousands of families, this is an event that the founder, Hannah Saunders, created because there was nothing like it to take her own family to: somewhere relaxed, entertaining and daft, where the adults enjoy themselves as much as the children and vice versa. A mini festival where you get to be back home for tea time!
Hannah says: “We are delighted to be making our Dorking family raving debut - coming along for the ride are our in house superstar DJ duo Baker & Beale plus the amazing crafting of Nifty Natty for the ultimate family frolic. Surrey, see you on the dance floor!"
At the heart of the event will be a live DJ mixing eclectic dance music - Acid House, Rave, Drum’n’Bass, Jungle - to get everyone dancing together on a floor filled with bubbles, balloons and snow. Nifty Natty, child craft expert, will be managing the craft tables, a giant colouring mural and playdoh table.
With a pirate theme, pop on some fancy dress, grab a tot of rum and your toddler for an afternoon of dancing and fun for families with 0-8 year olds but all ages welcome.
Started in Brixton in summer 2013, Big Fish Little Fish now runs sold out events all over the UK and Australia, having also appeared at Glastonbury, fabric, Camp Bestival, The V&A, the National Gallery, Bluedot, Coventry Cathedral, Alexandra Palace and many other nightclubs, arts centres, museums and festivals.
Believing everyone has the right to a good time, Big Fish Little Fish encourages you to grab your little fish and meet them on the Dorking Halls dancefloor!
Big Fish Little Fish will take place at Dorking Halls on Saturday 16 September from 2-4pm. Tickets are priced at £16 for adults, £13 for children and £12-£14.70 for groups of 10 or more.
