The Betfred Derby Festival has long been one of the great days out for generations of Londoners and there is even more to look forward to in 2026 with an extraordinary two days offering something for everyone. Whether it’s jellied eels and fast food on The Hill to fine dining in the Queen Elizabeth II Stand, there are options for all tastes and budgets at the iconic Epsom Downs.
London is rightly known as one of the world’s great centres for fashion and this extends to the Betfred Derby Festival. The Queen Elizabeth II Stand on Derby Day is one of only two racing events (alongside Royal Ascot) where gentlemen attire themselves in top hat and tails while ladies adorn their very finest formal daywear.
It’s not all about formality though. New for 2026, O Beach Ibiza in Galileo’s will be bringing in a party for every music taste and mood; feel-good house, dancefloor anthems and everything in between.
Ladies have their own dedicated day at The Betfred Derby Festival with Ladies Day on the Friday. This extends to the track with the running of the Betfred Oaks, which is restricted to fillies and takes place over the same famous mile-and-a-half track as the Betfred Derby itself.
There is also every incentive for ladies to adorn their finest attire on Friday 5th June with the return of The Style Awards in Partnership with Debenhams. The ultimate celebration of style and glamour, the awards will feature a refreshed format and fantastic prizes for winners.
