This year, the festival will be relocating to Mowbray Park. A fairy trail will lead you through an atmospheric woodland glade to an illuminated fairy door transformed into a mesmerising & magical symphony of light & sound, to create a colour changing immersive experience. There will be live music to enjoy in the bandstand, 'Selfie Lane' with its series of Instagram able selfie opportunities & a sparkling light tunnel over the bridge linking the two sections of the park. The Festival of Light will be open every Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday 4-9pm as well as every day during the half term October break. www.mysunderland.co.uk/fol
