August Bank Holiday Family Fun Weekend
Loads of family fun this August Bank Holiday at the National Brewery Centre’s Family Fun Weekend, Sunday 26th and Monday 27th August. There will be a wide variety of activities on offer including insane inflatables for both children & adults, bouncy castles, rodeo bull, assault course, bouncy boxing, bungee run, and gladiator duel. Treat Them to a Summer to Remember
This year the National Memorial Arboretum will be hosting a wide range of fascinating events and activities commemorating the end of the First World War, and celebrating the contribution of the Royal Air Force over the last 100 years.
A series of fun family activities such as British Pathé RAF film showings, RAF costumed interpreters and even a Replica Mark IX Spitfire will be on site to celebrate RAF 100. In addition there will be replica 1940s War Room installations, where visitors can enjoy an immersive experience as they enter the living and working conditions of the RAF during the 1940s.
Throughout the summer holidays younger visitors can enjoy discovering the stories behind a variety of First World War characters using the Arboretum’s WWI Thank You Children’s Backpacks, or alternatively why not take a walk through the exhibition, Thank You: Legacies of War. This free exhibition examines some of the everyday items that can trace their development back to the First World War, and the impact this had both then and into the future.

Escape Maize Maze at the National Forest Adventure Farm.
A visit to the National Forest Adventure Farm offers exciting indoor fun, outdoor adventure and farm animals. This summer you can also take on the world’s first Escape Maize Maze!. To prove yourself as the next top spy you need to graduate Agent Academy. Solve a series of mental and physical challenges to collect the lock combination you need to escape the maize maze. You’ll navigate 3 miles of paths, bridges and viewing towers to find your way out! Summer of Fun on the Farm
Farmer Ray and his family welcome visitors to Lower Drayton Farm, their 600 acre working farm near Penkridge, the perfect place to while away a long summer day in the great British countryside with the kids. Holiday Outdoor Activity Days
Beaudesert Outdoor Activity Centre will be running their Holiday Activity Days throughout the summer holidays, Monday to Friday from 9.00am until 4.00pm, suitable for ages eight+.
