Mongolian storytelling is a rich oral tradition deeply rooted in nomadic life. Stories in Mongolia serve as both entertainment and education. Gathered around the hearth in a traditional ger (tent), elders used myths to pass down survival skills, respect for the sacred mountains, and a shared national identity.
Join us this October half term to learn more about how these myths and legends shaped the cultural identity of the steppe, and for your last chance to experience our amazing exhibition about Genghis Khan and the impact the Mongols had on global civilisation.
