London Children's Literature Festival returns Saturday 27th & Sunday 28th June
Barnes becomes the children's books capital of the UK when the London Children's Literature Festival returns on Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th June with over 100 fun events, workshops and performances for young book fans.
National treasure, Michael Rosen, with book-rapping sensation MC Grammar, the million-selling author illustrator of the Tom Gates series, Liz Pichon, 'Horrible' historian Greg Jenner, legendary Gruffalo artist Axel Scheffler, the superstar creator of Charlie and Lola, Lauren Child, and draw along genius Rob Biddulph are just a few of the big names on their way to Barnes.
They'll be joined by a few famous faces including acclaimed actor Michael Sheen, Paddington star Hugh Bonneville, Pointless presenter Alexander Armstrong and award-winning comedian, Russell Kane.
This year also sees the return of Festival favourites including the queen of kids' crime fiction, Robin Stevens, funny books writer, Maz Evans, Supertato silliness with Paul Linnet, and the beloved creators of You Choose, Nick Sharratt and Pippa Goodhart, among many more.
Children can get involved in creative writing, comics, art and craft, LEGO, live music, Manga illustration masterclasses, clay-mazing workshops with Aardman Animations, and there are lots of free things to do too. Find out more http://www.londonkidslitfest.org
