A Sprinkle of Comedy Magic at Southwark Playhouse Borough This September
Southwark Playhouse presents A Midsummer Night’s Dream from 5th - 27th September at Southwark Playhouse Borough.
“A lot of people think that Shakespeare isn't for them. They believe that it's long and boring, that it's pretentious, that it just doesn't make any sense. But, I promise you, this production of A Midsummer Night's Dream will completely change your mind about all of that. The production uses all sorts of tricks to make the story accessible and understandable to everyone, whether this is the first time you've seen the play, or whether you're a seasoned Shakespeare buff. It will delight, surprise, and entertain you. And it's going to be properly laugh-out-loud funny - just as a comedy about how silly humans are should be!” So says director Toby Hulse, an acclaimed director of theatre for younger audiences, and who will be bringing Shakespeare's classic comedy to Southwark Playhouse Borough.
The Southwark Playhouse team really hope that you will take a trip with them this September... that might turn out to be just a bit more magical than you had ever thought possible...
