Sidcup has a busy and exciting programme of events ahead as we move into the autumn and winter season. Planning for Halloween is well underway, with the trail starting at St John’s Church Hall and taking families through participating businesses for themed activities, treats and spooky fun. Shops are already preparing displays and decorations, and are expecting strong engagement again this year.
Following that, the Santa Dash returns to Merton Court School, now firmly established as one of Sidcup’s favourite festive events. Families, runners and local groups will take part, and preparations with the school are progressing well to ensure a safe, lively and enjoyable morning.
Christmas celebrations begin on Saturday 5th December with the 'Find the Nutcrackers' trail on Station Road, offering festive goodies and encouraging footfall for local traders. On Saturday 19th December, Santa will be at the library from 10.30am to 4pm, including a dedicated SEND hour from 11.30am to 12.30pm. Arts and crafts, sand art and a special Nutcracker ballet performance will help to create a magical day for families.
These events continue to strengthen Sidcup’s identity, support local businesses and bring the community together.
