A summer trip to the theatre

The school holidays are a chance to make memories together, and for many families a trip to the theatre is one of those experiences children remember long after the summer has ended.

This August, Greenwich Theatre welcomes families for The Little Mermaid: Song of the Sea, a new production inspired by the much-loved fairy tale. The story has been adapted especially for the stage and promises an afternoon of laughter, surprises and memorable characters.

Live theatre offers something different from watching a film or reading a book. Children experience stories unfolding in front of them, sharing reactions with hundreds of other audience members and discovering the excitement that only live performance can bring.

For younger audiences, a first theatre visit can spark a lifelong love of storytelling and creativity. For parents, it is an opportunity to spend time together away from screens and the distractions of everyday life.

With the summer holidays stretching ahead, The Little Mermaid: Song of the Sea offers families a chance to enjoy a special day out together at Greenwich Theatre.

The Little Mermaid: Song of the Sea runs from 31st July to 23rd August.
