Greenwich Theatre’s family programme brings together music, imagination and interactive storytelling in a season designed to delight young audiences and their grown-ups alike.
Leading the line-up is The Cat in the Hat, the acclaimed stage adaptation of Dr Seuss’ much-loved book. From the moment that tall red-and-white striped hat appears, a rainy afternoon transforms into riotous fun as Sally and her brother are swept into a world of mischief and mayhem. Lively, colourful and packed with energy, it offers an ideal first theatre experience for children aged three and above, with the added bonus of meeting the Cat after the show.
For the very youngest theatre-goers, Boxes provides a magical sensory journey created especially for under-fives, where a simple cardboard box becomes a gateway to hidden worlds and imaginative play. Classic storytelling continues with a high-energy musical version of The Three Billy Goats Gruff, complete with catchy songs, funky dances and a rapping troll.
Colour and kindness take centre stage in The Princess and the Peacock, while Wonderland reimagines Alice’s adventures through puppetry and lively music. For older children, So Unfair blends science demonstrations with engineering challenges in an interactive adventure exploring fairness through humour and audience participation.
