Greenwich Theatre continues to strengthen its identity as a producing house with a season of in-house work that combines theatrical tradition with bold musical storytelling.
This summer sees the launch of a new seasonal tradition celebrating some of Shakespeare’s best-loved plays, beginning with Romeo and Juliet. In a sparkling production filled with music and theatrical magic, the star-crossed lovers battle family divisions and intolerance in a revival of the greatest love story of them all.
Also returning this summer is the creative team behind the award-winning Dick Whittington and his Cat and last year’s five-star hit The Three Musketeers. Their all-new musical retelling of The Little Mermaid, written by British Panto Award winner Anthony Spargo, follows a curious heroine who makes a dangerous bargain with the Sea Witch in exchange for a chance to walk on land. Blending spectacle with heart, it brings the magic of panto season to a strictly limited summer run.
The year concludes with Greenwich Theatre’s pantomime, a festive tradition that has come to be recognised as one of the capital’s finest Christmas shows.
