Celebrate the Carnival of Creativity at the Conservatoire!
If your child is creative and imaginative, or wants to learn new skills whilst making friends, the Conservatoire is the place to go for half term! Over six days, children from age 3 up can join classes in art and music (and for 3–5-year-olds they are running courses which cleverly combine the two on a theme and project). Roundabout taster will provide a fantastic introduction to six instruments and art classes combine many fun and fascinating techniques including animation, sculpture, painting, and sewing. Each day children will make a ‘project’ such as an eco bird house and clay bird, Klimt-inspired gold leaf and paint spring garden, or spring wreath. Young artists are led and helped by the tutors but find their own expression – they are not copying by rote but are guided to find their own voice!
