Draw a Pirate and Win a Signed Book from Sir Quentin Blake

Sir Quentin Blake is coming to Jerwood Gallery in Hastings Old Town this summer and he’s bringing with him an exhibition full of brand new pictures called Life Under Water – A Hastings Celebration. You can visit between 2 July and 6 September, Tuesday – Sunday, 11am-5pm. For more details see www.jerwoodgallery.org.
If your child is aged between 4 and 11, Sir Quentin would like to see what they can draw. Get them to draw or paint their idea of a Hastings Pirate. It can be a real pirate or someone dressed up as one. It should be on a piece of paper not bigger than A4 (21cm x 30cm). Sir Quentin Blake will be judging the competition himself and will give a signed copy of one of his books to the creators of the three pictures he likes best. The winners’ pictures and a number of runners up will be displayed at the Gallery.
