The Mozart Symphony Orchestra: A wonderful Christmas treat for families
A new Christmas tradition started in Oxford last year - the Mozart Symphony Orchestra gave its first Oxford performance of the timeless classic, The Snowman, for which the film is shown on the big screen with live symphony orchestra providing the soundtrack, famously including the song made so famous by Aled Jones: ‘Walking in the Air’. After three sell-out performances in the Sheldonian Theatre, they are back for 2026.
The concert will also feature 'Britain’s favourite bear' in Paddington Bear’s First Concert – a charming piece for narrator and orchestra that sees the lovable scamp rescued from Paddington station by the Brown family and taken to a concert – at the Royal Albert Hall!
This concert is the perfect antidote to panto and a wonderful Christmas treat for all the family. This performance is family-friendly. Babes in arms (children up to 2 years of age) are permitted to share a seat with each full-paying adult; children aged two years or more will require a paid ticket and seat.
