Transferring from Abingdon Prep to Abingdon School

Abingdon Prep and Abingdon School have streamlined the process whereby boys transfer from the Prep School to the Senior School. The change is a welcome development and reflects the excellent continuous education offered across the schools. The new transfer process means that pupils at Abingdon Prep, for whom Abingdon School is appropriate, will now receive an offer of a place for Year 9 at Abingdon School at the end of Year 5 at Abingdon Prep. For these pupils there are no entrance examinations to take prior to transferring to the Senior School. The offer of a place at the Senior School is based on the continuous assessment of each pupil and is conditional on the pupil maintaining his profile of achievement in Years 6 to 8 at Abingdon Prep.
