It’s About To Get Barmy And Beastly At Hull New Theatre

 

 

Hull New Theatre embraces Barmy Britain as it joins Dragons and Mythical Beasts in the latest shows to be announced as part of the venue's The Prologue Series: A Covid Safe Season.

Horrible Histories – Barmy Britain will stand and deliver a gag-filled gallop through British history on 29 and 30 May, 2021. The two amazing actors play multiple historical roles battling Boudicca, losing their heart or head to horrible Henry VIII, surviving the gunpowder plot, the dastardly Dick Turpin, Burke and Hare, and move to the groove with party Queen Victoria.

 

These are just some of the fascinating characters audiences will discover in this incredibly funny 65 minute show, its history with the nasty bits left in.

 

More magical history follows with Dragons and Mythical Beasts from 30 July to 1 August, 2021 when a myriad of dark secrets are unveiled and audiences and come face to face with some of the most magnificent monsters and terrifying beasts ever to walk the earth.

This latest announcement comes after The Prologue Series: A Covid Safe Season was launched last week with April in Paris from 20 -22 May, 2021, Priscilla Queen of the Desert from 12 -17 July, SIX 21 – 25 July, and LOL Comedy Club 18 June.

 

All the performances will be produced in-line with the latest Government advice to ensure the venue is Covid-safe for our valued patrons, visiting touring companies, performers and staff.
