Action-packed school holiday camp returns to West Bridgford

Nottinghamshire YMCA will be running the well-loved holiday day camp for 4-15 year olds, Camp Williams, through the February half-term holidays. Children and young people from across Nottingham can enjoy a wide variety of sports, artistic activities and exciting skill sessions.

Camp Williams is Nottinghamshire YMCA’s longest running school holiday camp programme for young people, based at the Nottingham Emmanuel School in West Bridgford. Making new friends, gaining exciting skills and creating lasting memories is what Camp Williams is all about.

Encompassing a variety of indoor and outdoor sports, group games, artistic projects, and traditional camp activities such as rallies and campfire songs, Camp Williams is a place where children from all backgrounds and walks of life can come together to form new positive friendships and build confidence. Sessions are action-packed, adventure driven, and experience focused to engage young people.

Martyn Gibbons, Camps Service manager at Nottinghamshire YMCA, said: “We believe children with the opportunities to learn through interactive experiences delivered by our role model Camp Leaders will make healthier choices as they grow into adults. Our camp is full of creativity, action, and physical fun, and really inspires young people in a way that they might not experience anywhere else.”

Young people aged 8-15 can take part in ‘Skill Clinics’ – skills based weekly sessions which focus on teach children a specific skill. These Skill Clinics range from climbing to scootering, crafts to basketball. Children of all ages can enjoy invasion games, the crash mat challenge, ga ga ball, and so much more.
