Get into the festive spirit at NIC
Christmas returns to the National Ice Centre (NIC) in a big way this December with festive skating and special themed events to suit the whole family. Surrounded by twinkling lights, a majestic tree and a life size snow globe to have your photo taken inside - the NIC is the ideal place to get into the Christmas spirit!
Events will include two Winter Family Fun Weekends where the rink will be alive with the sound of Christmas plus festive face painting, Christmas arts and crafts and the chance to meet Santa! Over weekends of 14 & 15 December and 21 & 22 December, Santa will set up his grotto at the side of the ice and his elves will open the doors to visitors from 10.30am each morning. To add to the sparkle, three festive foam parties will take place on the afternoon of Saturday 21 December. Snow white foam will be sprayed onto the ice to create a winter wonderland! Family Foam party from 2.45pm followed by a Relaxed Party with a little less foam and no music from 5.30pm and a Club Night Foam Party from 7.30pm!
