Winter Wonderland Arrives in Nottingham

On the 15th November, Nottingham’s annual Winter Wonderland opened its doors and the city’s festive lights were switched on, including 4,000 red and white lights on the city’s monumental 60 foot Christmas tree. Another notable feature of the event is the 750 square metre ice rink. This is the eighth year the event has taken place, with new attractions being added each year. The Winter Wonderland is suitable for the whole family, and includes child-friendly attractions such as a traditional carousel, a Santa toy ride, a helter-skelter, and a nativity scene.

Edward Mellors, of Mellors Group Events, stated: ‘In 2017, Sur La Piste really raised the bar, and I’m sure the people of Nottingham are looking forward to another amazing Christmas in the city. This year, the introduction of the toboggan slide and Bar Altitude will further cement Nottingham Winter Wonderland’s reputation as one of the very best Christmas markets in the country.’
