February Half Term in Northamptonshire

February half term is a welcome break to recover from any lingering January blues and lack of get-up-and-go on dark, gloomy mornings! Simple good fun down on Mini Meadows Farm

Head over to Mini Meadows Farm this half term for a great day out, whatever the weather. Meet the cute newborn animals in the baby barn, explore the exciting indoor and outdoor play areas and don’t forget the larger animals will be waiting to meet you – cheeky goats, alpacas, sheep, pigs, ponies and cows to name a few. Accelerate the fun this half term with a trip to The Silverstone Experience. Pick up a kids’ trail and take a journey through the past, present and future of racing. Young visitors can discover what’s hidden inside the medieval crawl tunnel, have a go at being an RAF pilot and sit in a replica 1940s racing car. They’ll learn about motorsport science, test their skills as a commentator and try out a wheel gun. Embrace nature this Spring

It can be tricky to know what to do with your little ones during February half-term, especially if the weather is poor. The folks at National Trust Canons Ashby make it easy for you by running a new “Bugs and Beasties” trail, bird feeder making and hands-on archaeology, as well as having the fascinating house (with children’s trail) and the rest of the property to explore. Join Weston Favell Shopping Centre on a Robo-tastic adventure!

Favell Fun Club will transform into a Robotic world of BRICK FUN this half term! On Wednesday 19th February between 11am - 3pm, little ones will have the opportunity to make their own recyclable robot as well as building their own brick bot to take home with them. Titan the Robot will also be returning to the centre in intervals between 11am - 3pm on Saturday 22nd February, so don’t forget your camera!

Stunt Fest! – a Family fun, Action Packed Day at Santa Pod Raceway!

Free crafts and games to put a smile on everyone’s face this half term

Kettering Museum has teamed up with Kettering Market Place to keep delivering their popular programme of Play Days in 2020. Held on
every Wednesday of the school holidays, with games, crafts, face painting, & performances, there is something for the whole family to enjoy and the best part…. it’s FREE. Go along from10am -3pm at Kettering Museum and Kettering Market Place on 19th February. Plus, little ones can enjoy free February half term crafts over the holiday too. No need to book, just drop in! Materials and easy instructions are supplied and it’s available Tuesday to Saturday, 10am – 4.30pm at Kettering Museum.
