It’s a big three-o for YMCA’s Fun Run & Festival

YMCA North London is holding its 30th Fun Run & Festival in Priory Park, Crouch End, N8 on Sunday 19th September this year.

They are thrilled to be going ahead with the mid-sized event, welcoming 3,000 adults and children who take part in the fun runs. Also welcome are those who go to support the runners and to enjoy the day out. There is a 5k race for ages 14+, a 10k race for the over 16s and eight children’s 1-mile fun runs for children as young as three.

It is a great family day out, with the fun runs plus a festival field, offering all the usual delights in a village-fete atmosphere with pop-up food stalls, live music and children’s rides, games and competitions. The races are for people of all ages and abilities, and YMCANL does its best to ensure inclusivity, as well as promoting health and wellbeing within the local community.

Fun run entries are donations to the charity and support the work they do helping young people who are experiencing homelessness, and resident in their hostel accommodation. Here, they are offered the opportunity and safety to create futures of their choosing, away from the trap and deprivation of homelessness. By taking part as a runner, by supporting on the day or by making a donation, you are helping young people to create their futures.
