Father's Day in Norfolk

It's Father’s Day on 17 June

Personalised presents or thoughtful gestures will help make dads, grandpas or the other important men in your child’s life feel special and loved this Father’s Day. Here’s a few thoughts:

Wash his Car
Those four wheels parked in the driveway may be your dad’s pride and joy, but whether it’s a high end sports car or a bit of a banger, any car could do with a washing down from time to time. He’ll be pleased as Punch if you clear away those empty Yorkie wrappers and used parking tickets from inside the car, too.

Arrange a Barbecue
With some assistance from mum, why not arrange a BBQ in the back garden? Give dad a day off from his usual BBQ duties, sit him in the deck chair with an ice cool drink and help mum by making salads and passing round the food.

Present him with a book full of his words of wisdom
Dads have a tendency to offer pearly words of wisdom and provide advice even when we don’t want to hear it!  Make your father giggle and reassure him that you do listen by creating a book - ‘The World According to my Dad’. List his favourite quotes but remember to leave a few blank pages; he may wish to add a few more!

Send him a special handwritten Letter or Drawing
If, for whatever reason, you are not spending Father’s Day with your dad, you may wish to send a special handwritten letter or colourful drawing. A hand-drawn card will always be gratefully received and it will be sure to brighten his day.

One last thing….
Remember to tell dad that you love and appreciate him.
